fell asleep during an MRI yesterday and then knocked out for 20 hours and now i'm all floppy from the cataplexy,, too bad i can't get diagnosed until i quit antidepressants :^)
also told my bff this shit and he's just like "if your symptoms are still showing when you're on your meds why can't they just diagnose you with a different criteria"
and im like.... thats not how narcolepsy work......
there's literally only one diagnostic criteria for narcolepsy rn even though the causes are so widespread its hard to pin down, but you can't get access to certain sleep-related meds unless you're diagnosed specifically w N
and i've been on ssris for over 5 years its gonna take awhile to stop the REM suppressant effect so who knows when im gonna be able to do the deng sleep study, i can't even schedule an appointment with my psych or the sleep dr to confirm quitting my meds in the first place because i'm always fuckin asleep :^\ rip
