Take a long string of sausage and make it look exactly like one of those goddamned Koons wiener dogs and put it on display in a well-lit white white gallery with some bullshit manifesto in eight-point type on a steel plaque and then when the invariable C&D comes

devour the work

Water is so cool. Thank you, water, for your selfless years of service.

Sometimes when I hear a song I zone out, thinking about the person who introduced that song or that band to me. Just did that for about three minutes, thinking about someone from my past and what I'd say to them.

Weoooooo it did not go well.

I'd sign up for Spotify if it was $50/month and a non-profit.

Bocal 5, french no-wave band 1980-1986ish ... soundcloud.com/darkentriesreco pretty sure I've heard BB Coquin before. Comp album from 2016, remastered in Berkeley. Stereo Total way before Stereo Total. I just want mp3s, I pushed my turntable through my paper shredder years ago.

Like shut up, you're using a language to explain a different language. Just give me the examples in the language I'm trying to speak.

So every time I need to search for some programming thing, all I want to do is open a page and there are 40, 50 different examples on the page. That's IT. Instead, I get to wade through poorly-written introductions and this drawn-out non-example thick-ass text that somehow never touches on the exact problem I'm having. It reminds me of repairing a laptop by watching a Russian youtube video explaining same, because the manufacturer had nothing available. Not even a PDF.

I am going through all of my feeds for the first time in forever because I'm transferring them to my own program which is also my auction search and my inspirational image library barfout machine (see enclosure, enclosed). Seeing all of this in one go, all of the people I no longer talk to, all the sites that are dead and frozen or dead and now SEO sites ... it's a drag. Best to do this in small chunks. octodon.social/media/O15TTfDGQ

I am writing a pokey little program to read rss/atom feeds, among other things. That's fun, let's all not follow the spec. Anyway, the program trips on a shiny rock and hits its head and eats 99% of memory almost immediately. An interesting error.

dang. 71000 files in my grabbed images folder. seems low.

Every four months or so I do an image search and then way, way down in the results there are barely-related images that I can tell are going to add hours, maybe even days to my research.

That used to be a good thing; now it's a bad thing. I'd like to be done with this portion.

I wonder about Starlite from time to time. Poor Starlite. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starlite

@RexfordGTugwell no, this was a chuck woolery word thing, can't remember the name ...

I just watched a minute of a TV game show and I wanted to crawl out of my own skin.

Worker bee at hardware store just ripped plywood sheet at 12" when I said 14" three times. Spent hours figuring out cuts, proper dimensions, etc. So, new lesson: mark your own wood, cut it yourself, run the till, and do the accounting for the hardware store. Run security at night.
