@fillertrack Perhaps there is more than one reason I didn't jump on the new wave ... there were so many space games, so many abstract games like Qix, Pac-Man, Tempest, fighting games felt like a step down. "I can do this behind the 7-11, I can't freaking land a spaceship on the moon in real life ..." @fillertrack I've not experienced/seen the bitterness/hate you describe. I basically lived in an arcade back then. Yes, I wasn't interested in 2p fighting games, but I was also not interested in 1p fighting games (after giving both a fair number of chances to catch my fancy). "You're a guy ... PUNCHIN' ANOTHER GUY!" wasn't a draw for me.

Found a discarded packet of Cool Lip[R], some sort of tobacco ch[e/a]w-like product from India. The instructions on the packet consist of three bullet points.

* Wait a few minutes for a TINGLE
