Can we please, please – PLEASE! not make the nonsensical US date format month/day/year the default in applications? 🤦‍♂️

PRE 👏 TTY 👏 PLEASE

And to all users of that format: it makes no sense, it's counter-intuitive, it makes collaboration frustrating, it introduces inconsistencies and errors... Just stop. Please. Use international standards.
(And don't get me started on your other units of weights, volumes and distances. Bloody hell.)

Boost if I'm right.

"What is the modern web browser? It is a self-contained JIT-ted JavaScript interpreter, development environment, and framework for displaying hardware-accelerated UI and accessing system resources in a controlled way. Web browser codebases are massive, and in fact, if the internet is to be believed, contain more lines of code than some operating systems."

Well, there goes some of the trust I had in mozilla:
twitter.com/asajeffrey/status/
twitter.com/withoutboats/statu

firing 250 people is not how you "focus on the product". I wonder if the leader (and her untouched salary) really cares about firefox.

I really recommend learning typography. there's no upside to it and it makes many things look way worse

All CI sucks. At least the ones based on yaml, which embed a crappy turing-complete language in a text file you can't even run locally. Whose idea was that??

i approach Twitter Jackdorsey on my knees, groveling in the filth, tears streaking through the mud on my face. my hands trembling i hand him my wrinkled monthly ten dollar bill and he inserts it into his mouth like a vending machine. he fishes his phone out of his billowing cargo shorts and shows me a millionaire with a political opinion so bad that it makes all my eyelashes fall out. worth every penny

So, disabling javascript on twitter.com (for seeing tweets linked by other people) makes it *so* much more usable and lightweight. I think it speaks of how badly twitter's UI got…

Postscript is surprisingly minimal and elegant. In a way, more than forth, I think (but it's not as close to the machine).
