I'm undecided if I should include #family activities on #mastodon (they're a pretty key part of my life, and the context in which most other things are undertaken)... or if I should setup a separate personal instance for those.

@bseymour For what it's worth, I think people shouldn't try so hard to compartmentalize every aspect of their lives. It's one of the reasons I've given up on FB and Twitter. Those "social" networks are just for my "Twitter friends" and my "FB friends/family." I don't know about you, but I'm tired of that.
@FadingAway as always, some good arguments both ways... I can imagine only a very small subset of people having a high level of interest in my family activities, and could end up with a poor signal/noise ratio on my stream for them... but then, I also agree with you, it's my one life - all interrelated.
