I'm working on a video game about breaking up with a self-indulgent software dude while mindlessly scrolling through Twitter. Our artist just finished her latest pass at the background. octodon.social/media/lIiwuilUd

ADVICE FOR WHEN YOU'VE HAD A TERRIFYING VISION OF THE FUTURE
1) Take a deep breath. Remember that the future event hasn't happened yet and when it does, it won't be that terrifying because it will have context
2) Double-check your augery for accuracy: Any chance your crow feather is actually a raven feather? Spots on the ol' crystal ball actually from lunch?
3) Project your mind forward a millennia and realize everything will change and vanish. Makes you think.
4) Tea. Tea is nice.
5) Sleep.

Local news must really be losing money if this is the number of ads they need to bundle with every paper.

I enjoy this Netflix feature - watching movies offline. I'll spend my holiday in a beautiful place... with crap internet connection... and when my radical Christian aunt begins to say something horrendous, I'll be watching happily some action flicks and the 4th season of Sherlock

mastopoll - do you desire content warnings for profanity?

At least when AIs gain sentience and enslave humanity they won't be serving corporate shareholders anymore.

Back in my day we used to take these big rocks and crunch 'em between our teeth, gnashing till our teeth turned to a powder of enamel shards that we'd have to drink and have it scratch down our throat like our esophagus had got caught in a shredder that's just braar braar braaring away and turning the whole thing into this mushy, blood soaked mess that we'd swallow and choke on and do you think we ever complained about that? No. Kids complain about everything. Try chewing on a rock for a change.

Working on an essay about Inquisition. Anyone roleplay an Inquisition who believed in the Maker and that they were his Herald? Given how the plot progresses (esp. with the Nightmare), how did they feel?

In my company's old office, we had a concrete floor on the lower level. Once, we had a halloween party and taped a pentagram to mark the dance floor (this is just like a Buffy episode isn't it?)

The next day after the party, we pulled up the tape but so much beer had been spilled that even after cleanup, the concrete held a darker colour where there wasn't tape, so the pentagram was still clearly visible.

For months.

And it was right under the spot where devops + security teams sat.

Think that's it for games today. It's difficult to type anything too meaningful in 500 characters. If you want to check out the complete list of submitted games, it's all here: itch.io/jam/resistjam/entries
