Before each vote you see what the current up-vote/down-vote ratio is. I found it difficult to tell what gains followers and what loses them. Maybe true to life? When I started Catalyst (https://thelucre.itch.io/catalyst) I thought I was going to hate it because of the punishing rhythm mini-game. Ended up being fun and rewarding. You have to appeal to followers to work in unity against the coming "darkness." This appeal is very abstract (rhythm game) but it works.
