@brook this was a great read! This bit particularly resonated with me. I was just talking to my bf about being interested in WoW classic and he said “do you really want to go back to when travel took forever and everything was super expensive?” I told him there was a certain level of “thematic inconvenience” I missed because it made the adventure feel more real.
