@bondcliff Lemme know if you hear anything about that please!

@bondcliff I do not know that there is a "main" server. But rather the first server.

@bondcliff isn't the whole idea that there is no central server?

@bondcliff you can follow people on all (federated?) instances. Don't know how to find them without getting accounts there first though.

@bondcliff there isn't a "main" server I don't think, that's kind of the point. i get the impression you should choose a server based on how much you "trust" it - or rather how much you trust the admins to run it well, and how much you trust them to keep the server running indefinitely.

@bondcliff The whole concept here is there shouldn't be any 'main server'. Hopefully, it will be the case soon...

@bondcliff No, that's the purpose of a decentralized network :D

@bondcliff No, you can still follow and interact with those on other instances.

@bondcliff yeah, your toots are instantly seen by everyone else as you send them

@bondcliff It depends, some instances don't federate with everything, but that's usually very intentional...

@bondcliff An instance's federated timeline grows as the number of users on the instance grows, and the number of users they follow grows, so if you're on a small instance you will see less federated content than you would on a large instance.

there's a false sense of FOMO perpetuated by the idea that there is, somewhere, a definitive list of all toots in the fediverse which you're missing out on.

@bondcliff only the number of accounts on the instance your account is
