eh, whatever, I'm just turning off notifications for all follows for now. it's all about #toot #engagement from here on out.
#nobot seems to be pretty ineffective in my profile. again though, I don't really care about who follows me, but I'd rather not get notifications about such bots.
maybe I should put up a PR for a custom notification rule along these lines.
I generally don't really care who sees my public posts or what posts of mine get federated, but I really don't want to have to see followbots flood my notification feed. that should be reserved for actual interactions between people.
*off of mastodon for 3 days*
"what's the big deal about followbots?"
*6 followbots blow up notifications box within the same minute*
the beautiful california countryside and a variety of drugs continue to reinforce the idea that the internet was a mistake. despite this, I am back. have at it, nerds.
out to be one with nature until next week. don't get shut down before I get back like those pundits say. smell ya later, nerds.
there's no more consistent norcal/nevada road trip tradition than stopping at the vacaville in n out
now that hashtags actually serve a valid use, I may have to start using them in earnest #ugh
what's the point of a content warning if it just previews the image anyway?
Hot take: the only reason mastodon.social keeps crashing is to convince us of the fragility of centralized systems
it's very interesting how similar to Usenet meets Twitter this is, at least in vision on the backend.
si habia mas personas hablando en castellano aqui...
I'd be surprised if some nerd doesn't already have a gnu social instance devoted to conlangs.
