Tonight I fly to Sydney (from Melbourne) for the LBQ Women's Conference. Thanks to VAC and ACON for my flights, accommodation and conference registration costs.

The conference looks amazing, and I'm glad to go as the President of Bi-Alliance Victoria.

Looking for some random contract work. Anything Swift, Kotlin, Rust, JavaScript, Python, etc will suffice.

Went looking around the #gamedev hashtag on different instances, and apparently I'm following every gamedev on Mastodon already 🤔

If you're a gamedev and I'm not following you yet, fav this post so I can. (Why do I want to follow everyone? Because I'm on a self-hosted instance and will not see posts from people I'm not following, which means less populated hashtags, which means more boredom)

I used to run an account like this on birdsite - figured I'd start it up again here and it'd have a better audience <3 I'll be navigating Google Earth looking for images that have some artistic value - nice composition, textures, colours, etc. They'll always be posted with a share link for you to find the location yourself.

Let's get started!

Watching the video for this awesome-looking #trans / #nonbinary comic anthology kickstarter, seeing and hearing all the wonderful diverse trans faces and voices, and doing many involuntary smiles!

I do know a lot of things, and I do retain a lot of random information in my brain.

Today's solved problem was for a colleague who is travelling o'seas tomorrow who found out last night that their travel money card had expired some time ago. I remembered that there is a business in our city that offers this service, couldn't remember if they'd do same day issue. She rang them up, has ducked out of the office to get one, and is super happy I could help

Oh, I just realised I'm being that person again at work where I know most of the things (including non-work related), so people come to me with questions and concerns and I solve problems.

This is mostly good when it's for people I like, except when I am busy.

So... it turns out that I am good at asking questions such as "why is there a discrepancy here" and that is appreciated by my manager (but probably not the people who are responsible for said discrepancy)

Because time is weird, it is fully Thursday here where I sit. One and a half more days before my week ends. This is not true for everyone else (sorry)

Thinking of starting counselling again to deal with the shit that I tend to put into little boxes and ignore... but I'm working full time, studying part time and running a bisexual advocacy and support organisation. I don't actually have a lot of time to be counselled, nor the emotional energy it's going to require.

My very clever cat has figured out how to get into next door's garden, capture a baby rabbit (they breed them), get back into our yard and then kill it. I didn't need two dead rabbits this morning. Tonight I will pay reparations for the rabbits, and tell them how I will attempt to make it harder for my cats to get onto the fence on the weekend. Also suggest that they move the rabbit hutch, and consider getting a bigger one so the rabbits don't have to roam the back yard
