@angryjello hope you don't have a headhunter who needs to have to job explained to them. I hate wasting my time with them.

@nire have you looked at servalproject.org it does encrypted transmission, and seems to work with existing apps. looks like a creative commons license, so your could do your own code review, or contribute.

@nire so how would using a raspi be any different? unless you are going to develop your own protocol they could use their own pi to listen in. To ensure privacy you need to use mesh and encryption, so you need to exchange keys and establish trust. the key exchange is the tricky part.

@nire there are apps for Android that I know will create a meshnet, so that might be easier to use then a raspi.

Just saw a video review for the Apollo 1 concept phone. it has a rounded base and mixed body of wood and metal. I have a wood case for my pixel, so I liked the look of the the Apollo 1.
So am I one of the few people that like wood? Just add some brass trim and a few gears and my phone is steampunk.

still at my dad's, should be out if the hospital today or tomorrow, then they can start doing the cancer tests and he goes back into the hospital. Apparently you can't be too sick to get the tests done, or at least attached to machines pumping stuff in and out of you.

I have to work late tonight and need a tiny pick-me-up.

For every like/boost, I'll give a brief summary of one novel/novella that that exists in my master arc for Fedran.

(Plus it will help me flesh out my master arc connections.)

I see that the movie "The Girl With All The Gifts" is available now. Such a shame it did not get theater released other than England. the book is terrific and takes the zombie apocalypse in a new direction.

@dmoonfire just ordered a copy from Amazon. on a side note, had an interview with them yesterday so may move to Seattle if the next interviews go well.

@dmoonfire that will teach me to not stay in touch, I was hoping for a sequel. now you need to get them on audible or libervox for us slow readers to listen to.

@dmoonfire @Alamantus you will like it, I'm waiting for the sequel. hint hint. it has a nice undertone that would not be out of place in a Grimm fairy tail, but without the overt lesson of obedience to your elders.

I just started running a D&D 5th edition game set in ancient Egypt, and while reading more of the rules realized that my game world was taking a definite turn towards Exalted with the Egyptian gods being around and the rules actually desended from them. I think I will embrace it, should make an even better twist for the game.

@dmoonfire give the little guy something sharp to play with for me. 😁
