@dmoonfire have you tried to game the Amazon system by arranging for as many people as possible to buy the new book on the same day? This can get it into the trending recommendation list that more people see and leads to more people at least looking at it. Brian Brushwood did this for his book about social engineering.
@bil I know the technique, but it requires a few things I don't have even if I thought it was ethical. Mainly, very few people actually read my novels (a dozen, maybe). Which means I'd have to go to outside sources which is just leading into someone reporting it or me having to pay money to have people buy books.
It might work in the long run, but honestly, I'd rather get reviews/readers honestly even if it takes a few decades.
