Wow, people seem to have got really upset that the Dark Souls remaster is exactly what they said it would be, rather than some fantasy version they made up in their heads...
@benofbrown I'll end up getting it so I've got it for PS4, and probably Switch too because having it portable would be fab.
I think a lot of complaining (myself probably included) comes from the PC crowd where it's been modded so well that any remaster would be underwhelming. I also think that we've recently had the great Shadow of the Colossus remake and people's expectations are off.
@kitation Yeah I think most moaning I've seen has been about the PC version. They've been very clear from the start that it's a remaster rather than a remake though, so I don't know why people are comparing it to the SotC remake.
Also I'm really happy they've not added omnidirectional rolling like a lot of people seem to want, that would be a step too far.
@benofbrown @kitation my main beef is they're making the original PC version unavailable to buy, throwing away a great library of mods and a version some people might want to run for other reasons. i don't like when we lose options.
