At the vet with the doggo. Yay for 1:30 am vet visits. Those are the best and most fun, right?
This seems to be a recurrence of a thing we've seen before. Best theory is that he gets some kinda light seizure. Not a fill-in grand mal. Just sort of makes his back legs twitch and freaks him the hell out.
@SteveJohnson These seem to be short bouts of leg twitching that come and go over an extended period. Last time it didn't stop until we gave him meds. Going to try a longer term anti-convulsant tonight.
@benhamill Hmm, yeah if it lasts an extended period probably good to get meds. My dog would seize up for 5-10 minutes, then he'd go another couple weeks or so fine.
@benhamill poor puppy! I had a Pomeranian with epilepsy as a kid. was on phenobarbital for years. weird thing? seizures stopped completely after a few years. took him off the meds and everything.
@benhamill I had a dog with recurring seizures. Really scary thing to see at first. I put him in the truck and rushed towards the vet, and then suddenly he was just happy and dancing around on the car seat. So, I turned around and went home, and never addressed it. He'd get them all the time. He lived to be 14, finally died when he drowned in the swimming pool.
