Me, a world-weary internet traveler: y-yeah... who would think of such a phrase...
Is a country-specific instance restricted? Maybe. But it would be kind of neat to have a local timeline that was tied to a place where I live. What if there was an instance that was primarily Cascadia?
One thing I like is that with dedicated instances, you *could* have an instance that speaks a specific language. Or is from a region or country.
If there was a Mastodon.ca on the list when I joined, I might have started there.
The biggest challenge will be finding things to RT (boost?) as has become my custom. And also to not annoy my friends. Or run afoul of the instance guidelines.
I feel like this might be complicated. Then again, if I find a different way of having fun here, so much the better. It might also teach me to *give up* social media altogether.
