I'm truly disappointed at the sheer amount of privilege and self-focused attitudes I've been seeing here lately. :/ I know that there are a handful of self-important entitled jerks in the Fediverse, but the majority of people here are not; shouldn't their presence alone show others that maybe the world needs more than their apathy and lack of desire to be involved?
Wake up and get some perspective, you privileged users. -_-
Yet another person blocked.
This time it was someone who responded with crap along the lines of "that's how things are, so deal with it" and "well, I have better things to do with my time." If you feel this way, why are you bothering to respond to me in the first place? Why join the conversation at all? If you don't care about what's being discussed, don't take the time to demean those who care!
I've dealt with trolls like this all my life. I won't deal with them here.

There's something WRONG with your industry and your social connections if you prefer sociopaths and narcissists as opposed to people who care about each other and what each other needs.
Is it any wonder that the IT and tech fields are so full of abuse and toxicity? I think NOT.
I couldn't be more p***ed off right now, so prepare yourselves for me to be really nasty.
I just had to block someone. This person thought that the only way to have an intelligent debate was to put words in my mouth, accuse me of saying things I never said...and then claim that I had ill will towards them.
If you're going to be an accusatory piece of s*** a**hole, then stay the entire f*** out of my life, please. Don't interact with me and kindly f*** off.
I've had a few people from the Fediverse ask me where I live. I'm not keen on delivering locale over Octodon and my own situation is complicated, so I'll gesture to my profile, which speaks of my ethnicity (Japanese-Hawaiian)...and then tell all of you the currency I use on a daily basis is US Dollars ($).
That is all I will ever divulge to the public Fediverse. ^-^;; I apologise for the inconvenience. I may offer the info in DM if we know each other well enough.
So, two things went wrong last week and over the weekend...
--One of my speakers had the subwoofer break, so I had to bring that to a repair shop; that's gonna cost and stretch me thinner than I already am...
--My Windows 10 installation corrupted itself, requiring a system refresh. Thankfully, Windows 10 was able to reinstall itself over about half of what I had on here, but now I have to spend time re-installing the other half...ugh...
it's gonna be a rough week...

In all honesty, democracy--as an ideal--is inherently flawed; when you give absolutely everyone a voice, you end up with tyranny of the majority.
And let's be real: America never had a democracy to begin with.
For as long as I can remember--even when going to school or having a day job--I've worked at home. Constantly. My schedule ran 7 days a week, 10-12 hours per day, leaving my only free time whenever I meet up with @KyokiKafuka .
With Kyoki's--and @Yuki_G_t9tK 's--encouragement, I am now taking weekends off officially.
This will be the single-hardest change I've made in my life; I now have to figure out how to "enjoy myself," as it's called.
I'll be back on Monday! ^_^
Sometimes you get those moments where you felt amazing just a second ago...and then suddenly you have a complete mood crash, dropping from feeling stable and secure to feeling like s*** and completely unhinged; shifting from delighted to depressed in one swift burst.
That's the sort of moment I'm having right now...

Hehe, @Yuki_G_t9tK spent all day playing #FFXIII2 on #PS3 ...and I watched her playing it. <3 It's been great so far. ^_^
