@ayachan His thesis reeks of that of a typical gamer who feeds on Twitter or the YouTube comments section judging by his lack of understanding technical issues from the use of “marketing strategy” alone. But the concern remains the same. Nintendo just needs to open up about this issue. But I fear they’ll just take the usual route of “saving face” like much of Japanese business.

@KyokiKafuka @ayachan I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo had firmware that caused Switches to shut down when connected to third-party docks, but I think it's much more likely that the third-party docks are reverse-engineered junk that breaks the hardware to which it's connected.

Yes, Nintendo should be obligated to publish specifications for every console it sells so that others can design compatible peripherals. However, Best Buy's "Insignia" line is overpriced shit that only idiots buy.

I doubt the Insignia one is.
