I think this is very apt. The whole point here is to try and change things going forward and for those who still want to learn.
I recall reading an article in Cracked (of all things) where the author attributes her shift to a more Liberal outlook in part to reading other people's arguments online.

@suetanvil People like her are in the minority, sadly. Many people have very little interest in changing and/or learning.
