When #writing a new story, I start with my antagonist and ask some questions:
1. What does the antagonist want?
2. Why does the antagonist want this?
3. What is the antagonist not willing to do to get what they want?
4. Who supports the antagonist in their aims?
5. Who opposes the antagonist?
For every additional character, I also ask:
1. Why does this character support/oppose the antagonist's goals?
2. What are the consequences to this character and their own goals if the antagonist wins?
Hello Mastodon. I want to read more interesting books in 2018 and I want to share the experience with as many people as possible. I want to start a book club where we read one 200-300 page book each month. If you're interested please post book suggestions and we'll set up a poll to pick books. I want to make this as inclusive as possible so we'll be trying to select books that are coming available in libraries and on the Overdrive app.
