This extension is cool it's scraping my FB activity log in real time and auto-clicking the delete button on every post, every like, for like 6 years of posts. Quite cathartic

I was always pretty careful and lighthearted on teh FB, but I think removing my timeline is a decent way to disengage considering the recent enlightenment of social data misuse, without fully deleting my FB account.

I live a fair way out of the city, I kind of need to keep Farcebook to keep in contact with some friends and family by messenger, keep up to date on some local businesses and favourite bands. In essence I will just use it as a tool instead of a social outlet.

I did find a nice Chrome extension called Social Book Post Manager that scrapes the activity log and deletes all my posts. I know they're probably not deleted but my timeline is now a

But seriously... How do adults make friends? I see cool people with shared interest and I typically have one of two reactions:

1) play it cool / completely meld into the wall or my book in the corner and say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

2) enthusiastically overshare and generally freak people out.

90% of the time it is #1, but then I decide to be brave and embarrass myself with #2.
