@KizilDayanisma I don't think Mastodon will promote free speech. People will just ban whatever servers they don't like, so we will end up with networks isolated from each other.

Actually the About page on octodon.social is explicitly against free speech.

I tried gab.ai a few days ago, which is another alternative to Twitter. But most posts there seem to be a bit tinfoil-haty, too much for my taste.

So I actually not a big fan of federated social networks. It promotes isolationism and echo chambers, where people don't talk to anyone else outside their circle.

Let's see how this one works out.
