@jason No, by all means, go for it. I don't yet have a design brief prepped, but this is going to be a pretty basic site so for now I guess I just need interested parties and I can get back to them with more info. Thanks!

I'd like someone to make me a custom Squarespace template.

I don't have a huge budget, but this is a not a huge site.

Priority will be given to POC/women.

Please let me know if you're interested and I'll let you know what I need and then you can quote me a price.

Please share this with anyone who might be able to help me out. Thanks!

@ant Thanks, that's very nice of you to say

@ant We shall see. I've been on medication before and it has helped, but always reach a plateau eventually where you're kind of at a new normal and that's still hard.

@ant It's ok. I am, but I need to go back on medication and I ran into a snafu with that and haven't gotten back on track. I need to prioritize that.

@ant No, we've only just started. Have had 1 lesson. I don't expect to see huge changes with that. I'd be happy if he learned to swim someday and that's enough. The key is OT; we do that twice a week and I wish it could be every day. His school is good; it's specifically for autistic kids, but progress is just very, very slow. And I'm not doing enough, because I'm depressed and it's hard. And trying to have my own stuff going on too.

@ant That's exactly right. I struggle pretty hard tbh, even with a support system.

@ant My son is non-verbal as well. But he's not old enough to do anything like that. We've only just started swimming lessons. We do lots of various therapies. OT is best for strength and coordination. But it's such slow going. Everything is. It's a huge mountain to climb.

@ant Haha, yes and no. And it's a hard question to answer. Look at my bio :) I have barriers to working, namely a special needs child. But in the past I was a journalist and now I co-host a podcast about mainly mobile games and also hopefully starting a consultancy soon for indie game developers.

@ant I've never been able to separate personal and professional in any context so that includes social media ๐Ÿ˜ Nor would I want to really.

@ant For me Twitter has always been partially professional so I have to be there. I can't afford not to know what people in my area are talking about, that area having been media at one point and now games.

@ant Yeah, why are there so many French people here?

@ant I will unfortunately never be able to abandon Twitter unless the people I interact with there abandon it as well. What brought me here? Curiosity I guess. I tend to try these things out. I was on App.net, Ello, Peach. I like the idea of something decentralized. I like to get to know new people. Etc.

@ant I have a community on Twitter too though. I've been there since 2008. I've cycled through more than one community at this point :)
