sometimes I read /r/the_donald out of fascination and now is one of the first times times i've seen some significant actual criticism of trump on there (interspersed between the usual calls of "trust him", "4D chess", accusations of concern trolling and shilling)
@amyxzh My boyfriend does that, as well, sometimes and has been waiting for someone to finally call him out... glad to hear it's finally happening a bit. I don't know how you stomach it.
@SuzanEraslan I go there usually after there's been some bad press on him bc I'm curious as to how they will spin it. It's truly amazing at times the cherrypicking, motivated reasoning, etc. Like watching a cult trying to convince itself and keep members in line. idk whether or not to be relieved to see the slight shift.
@amyxzh I would definitely be relieved. These people are, for lack of a better analogy, pot committed-- they've stuck with him this far, to admit they were wrong through some truly heinous reveals would be sacrificing too much. If they're willing to fold their cards, now, it's a good thing.
