@jringram I do something like this for certain things in my life - I think it’s fair to count the articles you read. Maybe divide the reading into categories? I’m actually thinking of doing this even more myself (for articles, & abstracts even) It’s good to keep a count, however you choose; I’ve found quantifying such things to be a healthy habit.

Just read an excellent article by @alicegoldfuss@twitter.com on how to fight impostor syndrome, addressing completely different aspects: http://blog.alicegoldfuss.com/slapping-back-imposter-syndrome/

@snoothy I think it’s most helpful to compare yourself to your past self in terms of productivity.
To answer your question though, it really depends on energy level and how difficult each task is. Some days are more productive than others, but I’m typically able to get 1 - 3 important tasks done per day, plus a few other smaller tasks.
I always put fun things on my task list, too, and I count fun as productivity. :)

@maxeddy Accessibility is, in certain respects, why many users stay with FB. I agree that blaming FB users is unproductive. FB takes advantage of less Internet-literate / privacy conscious folks, so Mozilla is offering the possibility of a happy medium. Makes sense.
I forget so many people still use FB.
I'm really kind of fascinated with the conversation around people debating it's merits as they wrestle with letting it go.
It's such a moment in time.
@Are0h Great thread. These are the top justifications I have encountered:
1. “I only use it for the events”
2. “I’m using it for my brand / products / artist page / official web presence”
3. “All my friends are there”
When people are able to find user friendly ( / accessible) alternatives for these barriers they will migrate, I feel sure of it. FB has made people dependent.
I trained a neural network to invent some really confusing April Fools pranks.

@sphakos love this!
Self care for perfectionists looks really different than most people expect:
1. Emailing back to say no, even if you've been procrastinating for two weeks.
2. Ignoring your inbox to go for a walk.
3. Recognizing people have needs, but that doesn't mean you have to be the one to fullfill those needs.
4. Taking time to document and celebrate your accomplishments.
5. Asking, "What if I didn't do that?" and accepting that there will always be something that needs to be done that won't be done.
Self-care for perfectionists part 7: learning to just finish the thing and hand it up, and be ok with it not quite being perfect. Firing the inner editor who wants to bin the entire essay and start over 2 days before it's due. Learning to just finish it.
@fobo thanks ! Now I’ll have to check those artists out too :)

@Hazmus just added a toot about this! 🎶
I said I would post some music so here goes: a collaborative project with a friend that’s been ongoing on and off for about a year, called Moth Ash. This recording was from one of our live performances at a #noise festival. Hoping at some point we’ll have more. There’s a pretty healthy music scene here. :)
May be of interest to #metal enthusiasts too
@z428 I’m a fan of bandcamp mostly. Hope more people are able to suggest alternative options. 🎶
