Discovered a new-to-me used bookstore last night. The store had an excellent selection... but it also stank of stale cigarette smoke. I bought some cheap books as an experiment, and found they still smell of smoke.
It made me sad -- the owner has a great inventory, but he's sitting there slowly destroying all of it, and I'm not likely to go back.
@akuchling Yeah, my household has cat allergies which makes bookstore cats troublesome. Not as bad as smoke though.
