It's going to take all the willpower I have not to spend the day extracting these burial data into a csv & visualizing. I'll save it for a treat.

Spent today assessing 2 cemeteries at Central Virginia Training Center, formerly Virginia State Colony for Epileptics and Feebleminded. Epicenter of the American eugenics movement. Once 3k residents, self sustaining agricultural operation. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virgin

Is there a word in another language that captures the essence of being simultaneously bored and terrified?

What is this clapping into the mic thing?

It's been a rough couple of weeks, but today I turned in a thing before its deadline. To everyone else, sorry and I owe you a drink or some cookies. 😬

I've taken over as the tech lead for our historic resource database/GIS app here. Working with a developer who invites me to watch over her shoulder and ask Qs about how things work is so, so wonderful.

What are you reading? My available time is very limited and I have 1.5 eps of Dark left on Netflix, but I'm about to start PKD/Valis:

Guess I'll be furiously (but comprehensively!) reviewing FCC/cell tower projects, then?

On the cusp of figuring out a code thing at a major juncture in your project? Upgrade Ubuntu immediately! That's what I always say. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Snow day flitting from thing to thing at home. Found an archive of the first time my photo appeared on the internet, 2000 from Sonic Youth/Stereolab show. I felt so famous (image on far right). bit.ly/2mJK2f0

Coffee, cemeteries, databases, a kitten, and Rough Guide to Psychedelic Africa. May your morning be so chill. bit.ly/2D5Bucd

I haven't reinstalled ArcMap since the last time my laptop crashed in November, instead using only open, web-based tools. So far, doing juuuust fine.
