So, from what I've got as an outsider, VRChat is kinda like 4chan's /b turned into a MMORPG. Right?
Guess what?
I'm making another horrible mistake!
Setting up for round 2 of the Zelda: A Link to the Past key-sanity randomizer tournament (where all progression items, keys, maps, and other items have been shuffled throughout the game)! I'll be streaming on my Twitch channel at twitch.tv/Raspberryfloof, and if you would like to watch the whole race, SpeedGaming is hosting a restream at twitch.tv/SpeedGaming. My race starts at 10PM US EST!
Here's hoping things don't go too horribly wrong...!!
A small meditation from last night's coding round.
During the execution of my unit tests I pondered on how a lot of the work I do is about creating small black boxes that do what I want with the input scheme I find most convenient, then piecing those together on a layer and working up to create more and more abstraction between raw systems (I/O, kernel, etc...) and the user. I never thought of it that way before but I guess working on something a tad more complex required such thinking process.

So today I figured out why I couldn't get my own build of Krita running. At some point during the initialization, a flag manager structure runs a method... where 'this' is null. So, when it tries to access a member : SIGSEGV ensues.
I am astonished that VLC is capable of using around 87% of my 24Gb RAM while simultaneously not doing anything apparently.
Please, can everyone in the software world can read that again and again and again.
