So tired I just sat down in 1 place for an hour. I have no time for such frivolity as 'sitting down'. YAWN.

Missed my Alexander Technique today because son is home sick. Watched Ant-Man with him in a slouch on the bed. Lower back was bad when I woke up. It sure got wusser. Forcing my body to remain lengthened and not tightened up in a ball of pain. Man, I love arthritis.

Wondering whether 'The Chrysalids' is as fantastic as I remember it (buying it to read with my son). Really want to read The Midwich Cuckoos with him too.
The thing with John Wyndham is, when I was young his writing had not aged, but some of it feels anachronistic now. "Chocky" is mortifying at points. Women are basically non-people. But his use of language isn't too bad. They're easy to read. I ate his books as an early teenager.

My life is changing and It's all new adventures. It's exhilarating and scary but something's just happened to make it slightly less of a leap in to the (fairly poor) unknown. Now we will just be 'fairly skint' until I qualify, after which we will be officially "sort of alright'.

Dark chocolate induced migraine (idiot) and still not heard from job no. 2, the one I want. Which is making me feel ill. Trying to remain sane...

I just want to point out that I suggested Trump might be prog gun control just because Barack Obama didn't manage it, about two weeks ago! Hehe. I think he may stick to the script he's writing. He *loathes* Obama. Obama failed on this. He wants to WIN.

Right. Have written to the 3 people I needed to grovel to for being horribly hiding under the duvet (metaphorically) for the last 2 weeks

People phoned me and I missed calls. Irrational anxiety gives me 'the fear' about listening to the calls. 3 days later I grit my teeth and listen to the calls: They're all entirely innocuous. SIGH.

Spent the evening pantomiming up an Eritrean children's story so it can be read by someone at a refugees workshop thing. Feels a little awkward to me but doing what I'm told and using my skills to help. At least the idea of me reading it was knocked on the head pretty quickly (by me, I hasten to add).

I love my son dearly, with l my heart. I could certainly do without a boy who is about to be 12 slipping in to our bed at 2am because he's too cold, then disrupting my sleep completely for the rest of the night. Having slight difficulty completing tasks atm.

Aha! They have escaped!

Am at my son's gymnastics. 2 wee toddler types were taking great delight in finding each other, chasing, etc. Giggling and an occasional joyous yelp. Both their penta stopped them, now the wee lad is struggling, upset and crying. Good job, parent!

Bad anxiety day today. Extremely annoying.

Bear in mind that this man was a draft dodger, when reading his pronouncements about shooting bad guys. Bleg, barf, grr aargh, etc.

London is supposed to be in the blast zone for snow and wind, you name it. Looks like we're getting wind (nasty) but a 30 second flurry of snow stopped as soon as it had started. We never get snow any more. I want snow!

Watched the enormo film length documentary "dvd extra' that came with The Force Awakens. Fantastic. I hate the thought of losing dvd extras. Lovely watching so many people excited to be in the film and how they made it, in great detail.
Also intriguing how almost overwhelming the legacy is at times. Clapping Harrison Ford off the set, his face showed how "Yeah, alright, chill out, you people" he felt.

Not having a half bottle of white wine (very watered down) with my curry tonight seems unfair and ridiculous but last week it gave me an alcohol poisoning headache (the type with no hangover then suddenly feeling awful at 2pm next day). Feel like a small child wailing "No fair!". Tough shit, lady. You is old now.
