I must say, it is a source of great pleasure to read an in depth article about the shambles of Steve Bannon. A horrible person with an ugly psyche, which is lucky of the rest of us given that his horrible psyche leads to his own inevitable screwing up of his own ambitions (which are terrifying).

If you let the yeast/water/flour mulch for 25 minutes before adding the salt and then letting it rise normally, it makes even the most amateur breadmaker (hello!) look pretty durned good.

So, (everything starts with a "So") last night I got to bed at a relatively rational time, went to sleep with no problems - probably through exhaustion, frankly) and woke up again as my alarm went off.

I slept all night.
I woken up and my back and knees didn't hurt to any conscious extent.

Blimey.

OK so this semi-cheap memory foam mattress topper certainly has reduced my hip pain (main objective, hurrah), but at the moment my body sees it as a 'New Bed' ie: something to get used to. Over several days.
Exhausted. No sleep, day, 1; slightly asleep day 2 (but had to come to bed late because Ironing).
So give it a few more days, I might actually get some sleep.

I have won a Star Wars BB8 Breakfast unit. I, have no idea, what that is, or how it works.

How much more could you cram in to 1 episode? Also, audiable gasp of "No!" for the lovely Doc. ALSO just how long is Jason Isaacs going to be able to/does he want to stay in this show?

Without wanting to go all, Twitter here, it's a shame there are no gay men represented in the protests that I have seen. The voices must be raised against abuse of anyone at the short end of someone abusing their power.

This morning's weeping with pain crisis triggered a trip to Argos to get a memory foam topper (recommended for firm mattresses). Itvs not the most expensive one, but it's not the cheapest either. So here's hoping. Will report in the morning.

So much pain in my hips this morning I could barely move, and welled up in pure pain tears at a certain point. Fucking body.

I wasted 2 hours today cleaning out the drainage under our sink. I was strongly reminded of photos of fatbergs. And I ain't the one who cooks meat fat round here. Grrrrrrr.

Inside no. 9 has just kicked off again and is on iPlayer. The first is not what you'd expect at all. It's a great big glorious slice of the most ridiculous cake possible.

I had no idea that the Mortal Engines books have been picked up by Peter Jackson, amd the first film is out in December! Potentially disastrous (The Hobbit films) or brilliant, but Ivm telling you, take the time to read all 4 books now, long before the film. They are hugely impressive. Very exciting to read out loud to a 10 year old. So much so I read ahead often.

"Inside No. 9" has just started again on iPlayer, and the old ones are all there. I highly recommend "The 12 Days Of Christine", a piece of TV so disturbing and profound it's stayed with me since I saw it a couple of years ago. Proper grown up TV.

Am awake. Do I feel sufficiently '2018' yet? Have I shaken off the shackles of a year of head mashing screwyness? We'll have to see...

Dreamed about my old employer, who damaged me psychologically so badly I wonder if I'll ever fully recover. True (and thoroughly miserable) fact.
