@craigmaloney I cannot begin to imagine how difficult it would be to love someone who believed something which 'people like us' believe is wholly awful and damaging. Trying to be nice in my phrasing there. My Mum voted for Brexit in the UK referendum, and she did so for the same reasons the Labour Party didn't want to go in to the EU in the 1970's. Then she was horrified when the racists started cheering. I was so angry with her, good lord.

Well, I was inclined not to watch ep 1, not just because series 1 was jaw dropping, but because Janelle Monáe's "Pynk" video made me want to see more future Feminism in which love, joy and freedom is possible and not visions of grinding horror against women. However. I did, and it was pretty good, in that I felt shaky with tension from end to end, much like last season. Didn't cry though, but give it time.

@starbreaker I disagree. The dumbass, early version of Capitalism that we are currently stuck with by definition leads to civil war/revolution/brickbats. Actual, properly evolved Capitalism would work and is nearly there in some places. Denmark, f'rexample. I'd rather have a full distributed profits structure pushing wealth down in to the workforce than any of the alternatives.

So Dirty Computer is at no. 8 in the UK, and nowhere in the US at all. Is that be a use the UK has gone all Spotify friendly and the US hasn't? Or is it that the US is too full of folk who don't appreciate her black pansexual woman futurefunk stylings?

I have been listening to music and clearing up all day. Makes a big difference to my mood. I do like my podcasts but music changes everything (Prince-misc, ArchAndroid and Dirty Computer on repeat just like a teenager because it's that confident and fantastic)

@miramarco man, I just never, ever do those voice assistants. It feels like the voice equivalent of that old thing about photos taking your soul. Only with this, there's some truth in it

Waiting for my daughter to get out of a "Dan & Phil" gig whilst skint means waiting in a bus station because it's the only place with seats. I also very bored indeed.

I removed a game I was obsessing over from my phone (32k points). I just sat down to play it and had forgotten my own sensible harshness. Curses to me, I am an idiot! Why did I get rid of that game? Oh shut up, Zoonie. Tough toodles. You know it had to go. Waaaaaah!
