Wondering whether 'The Chrysalids' is as fantastic as I remember it (buying it to read with my son). Really want to read The Midwich Cuckoos with him too. The thing with John Wyndham is, when I was young his writing had not aged, but some of it feels anachronistic now. "Chocky" is mortifying at points. Women are basically non-people. But his use of language isn't too bad. They're easy to read. I ate his books as an early teenager.
