@philgyford I know, but everyone rt's it. I just get sucked in too easily. Spend hours following up minutiae detail level global political events that make me very angry/distressed. I used to do that with climate change news until I realised I was becoming obsessed and stressed so basically had to stop. I need to be less knowledgeable about awful things I can't change. It's just in my character, and it's annoying

@Zoonie I turn off retweets for a lot of the people I follow (and haven't already muted). And mute certain "newsy" keywords. Makes it more pleasant, but I understand the temptations.
