Why get one thing done when you can leave 10 things unfinished?
Everyone keeps saying that tech savvy nerds and introverts are celebrated.
And yet, every time I even drop a hint that I'm such a thing, I can see my stocks dropping in real time, almost immediately.
People like what introverts can do for them, but they still don't like introverts themselves.😥
I thought it would only get easier to focus as I grow older - yet the inverse seems to be true.
AH. OH MY GOD I GOT IT TO WORK.

Mastodon is more than just a nicer Twitter. It's an experiment in large-scale, open-source, distributed social networking. It's no online utopia, but it is an exciting development for the open web.
Finally finished my blog post about color! It's about what color is, mainly for designers, but understandable for anyone interested (I hope).

Please remember that you are good and worthy and valuable. Thank you for being here.
The Great Depression, Great Recession, Irish Potato Famine, and Atlantic slave trade should teach us that capitalism can screw up on a trans-continental scale.
The French Revolution, Stalin's purges, Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution should also teach us that having a leftist ideology is not a defense against failing on the same scale.
Somewhere in the space between these failures is room for success.
Hey, #gamedev people. What do y'all use for drawing pixel art these days? I'm looking into tools for this since what I've been using isn't really working out for me so well.
Also, really, I'm just trying to shut up the programmer in me that's going "If you'd just waste a few months of your life you can write your own, it'll be fun, promise!"
Judging by my JP Twitter feed there's been a significant amount of artists hopping onto Mastodon and that's rad. I hope they setup some kind of instance for art.
TECH PEOPLE: We have serious concerns that the growth of commercial social media and websites has severe privacy implications for everyone.
TECH PUNDITS: I absolutely LOVE this app that automatically broadcasts my location to everyone within a 10 mile radius in the background. It's the best.
Good morning tooters. It's currently 55 degrees and jazzy in San Francisco. Expect occasional gusts of alienation, with ego death expected around 7:12pm. Be sure to pack an alibi before leaving home!
flat tires suck. flat tires that are corroded onto the car suck even harder.
after cussing quietly to myself and repeatedly kicking it failed, some nice stranger said i should take the lug nuts halfway out and drive back and forth a few feet. this (eventually) broke the corrosion, and i was able to get home.
thanks, random helpful dude downtown!

I always thought sci-fi movies were being little ridiculous when a robot would interact with a computer by pressing buttons with analog "fingers." But then maybe that's our dark dystopian Burger King future after all.
