My boss is talking about the horrible discomfort of being contacted for her class reunion by "the geek" of her class.
Me: Was he weird to you before or something?
Boss: You have to understand, this was awhile ago so geek... this was before-
Me: "...before empathy?"
Boss (completely missing my comment): "Before the internet, you know- before computers."
Worst part is nobody in the room even gets the burn.
