I should add that in my off-time, I play MTG and D&D (5th Edition) as well as Pathfinder. I'm a fan of computer and console games, but have only really played single-player games recently as I tend to not like the other people I meet in multiplayer modes of those games.

Most importantly, stop putting institutional events on Facebook, stop using it at universities, stop making participation in Facebook mandatory through your institutional, organization, and activist roles. You can be online, and social, and connected without supporting Facebook.
Facebook took the whole data privacy issue so seriously that they fired Alex Stamos (their CISO) for pushing for tighter data controls and a proper response against Russian interference.
They also disbanded the security team, reassigning individual security professionals to various other groups within Facebook.
