Just installed my replacement car stereo. Buttons on the front work now. Had a scare when there was no sound for a bit. Seems to be good now.
Android Auto still doing a weird thing though. Phone will show charging, then not charging, and repeat that for 30 seconds to a minute. Sometimes removing and reinserting the cable works, but not other times. I might try it without the intermediate cable and plug my phone's cable directly in.
