Posts about the arrival of spring are really boosting my mood. Here is my own contribution. An absolute joy! youtu.be/3vwq1AyYGzo

@ljpg I'm listening to The Rite of Spring right now as a sort of secular way to celebrate Easter. I love it!

@ljpg Now on to Aaron Copeland's Appalachian Spring. Good stuff!

@XopherY One of the first pieces I ever played after getting involved with youth orchestras! We formed a little scratch chamber orchestra and took it to a few venues in England and France. I remember the conductor's passion for it so vividly. He said it was the piece that, upon hearing it for the first time, confirmed for him he was going to dedicate his life to music. That, and the hilarity over the disastrous results of my then clarinet teacher having to fill in for the pianist one evening...

@ljpg What a great memory!

I toured part of Europe with a youth band too! Netherlands, West Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Lots of fond memories.

For me it was tuba.
