A little sad I have to say goodbye to Rennes today - it was lovely!
At the conference, English is of course the main language, although french is helpful with the personell at the venue. Tomorrow we'll go for a little trip and then the conference is already over. I'll do some touristic things then!
Soo, how is France going after #200daysoffrench you might ask! It's still difficult. If french people talk to each other, it's too fast for me, I don't understand much. And communication isn't as smoothly as I hoped. However, I managed to exchange a train ticket, check into the hotel and solve a bureaucracy emergency where I had to print something in a copy shop and send it home to Germany via express at the post office (my first born is sold now)
A friend of mine is writing a book and I have been reading it in bits along the way and we've been having very thorough discussions over coffee almost every week. I had some trouble with the ending and she rewrote/extended some parts, I was complimenting her on a twist I hadn't expected in the new version "that was clever!" and she looked at me confused "uhm... That was your idea??" Oh. Well I suprised myself with this one then ;)
@vickysteeves @windmills That's so true, definitely showed me that mastodon is different and something special ;)
@kex_nom herzlichen Glückwunsch, hoffe du hast Zeit das fertig sein ein bisschen genießen zu können!
@windmills That's alright! ;) I will continue on at least till after my conference and then I'll see! Thank you and @vickysteeves for the motivation and the fun! I don't think I would have done it without you two! Bisous!
Oh man it has really been six month, wow. I wanted to try beeing in contact with french more and "ran" into @vickysteeves and @windmills mid-January, doing #100daysoffrench It has really been six months of daily french with maybe 2 days exception. Oh boy!
Work hasn't been very impressive these past month, but at least I have this win.
@windmills more Vocabulary and some Duolingo. I downloaded a french crossword puzzle app and I've been doing some of those! #200daysoffrench
I'm going to a conference in France next week. I started practicing my french 6 month ahead, pretty much daily work. But do I have my presentation finished? Oh god no... not even started.
