Today is my 100. day learning #Vocabulary with #Anki! And - I didn't miss a day! #200daysofFrench

After some discussion and a lot of hush hush and running from office building to office building to get the necessary signatures last minute, the contract is where it is supposed to be and now we can only wait and hope that I wont have a gap between this contract and the next, but it's out of our hands now

@generica I agree - the work environment, your colleagues etc. will be the main aspect on how you feel about going to work everyday.

@windmills hope so too! It seems like my department will make it work for a bit ecen if the funding is not here yet, but still we are far off from all the deadlines and our secretary is a bit afraid that they'll make an example out of this and not make a clean transition....e.g. not employ me for a month... We'll see!

So lovely... My contract ends end of this month, I still only have a verbal "it will probably all work out" confirmation from the government agency that funds my projects for the extension. Our secretary (she's awesome) is flipping out a bit because the university wants those things 6 weeks prior and she always has to fight with them... I guess I'll bring her some chocolate tomorrow. Not the first time she had to go through troubles because of slow bureaucracy in my project. gnah.

@Julia there are quite a few greens in there too unfortunately :D Everyone seems to like greens it seems ;) But there's some other stuff too luckily enough ;)

@Julia the damn potholder!! :) I can't seem to find the video that was most useful to me back then... it was an older woman with a badly lit camera set up, but somehow it was the necessary piece for my puzzle... :D I can recommend practicing the throwing first on it's own and not trying both hands right away!

@Julia Ja stimmt, das kann je nach Material blöd sein. Durch dieses gummierte bei der Matte gings. Schaumstoff kann ich mir auch ganz gut vorstellen. vllt. auch so 'ne Filzmatte wie man sie als Platzdeckchen auch kriegt. Aber du hast ja dann jetzt auch erst mal was 5€ klingt deutlich angemessener als 30 :D

@Julia Ich hab mir mal so welche aus einer alten Ikea Schreibtischunterlage ausgeschnitten, das war so ganz dickes Gummi/Plastik. Die sind irgendwie beim Umzug abhanden gekommen aber die haben super funktioniert. Vllt. hast du auch irgendwas, was du zweckentfremden kannst?

@Julia What are you doing right now? My one handed version wasn't really great (the outcome was okay but it took long, no rhythm, had to constantly readjust), I taught myself how to knit with the yarn in the right hand and now doing stranded two handed. I don't throw though, what I picked up is called "flicking"

@windmills Today I did Vocabulary, Duolingo and clozemaster, listened to an episode of français authentique and the newa in french and read a bit in french #200daysofFrench

@sandzwerg yeah I'm not sure, it's only a "want have" not a "must have" right now and I don't think I want to settle for the disadvantages right now... I'll wait and reevaluate this later. Hadn't thought about crypto mining yet, that's a good explanation for the craziness :)

Well... maybe not. At least not now? The same 32 GB DDR4 RAM my partner bought almost 2 years ago is ~200€ more now and the prices are pretty crazy?!

Thinking about upgrading my hardware. It's 6 years old now (with the exception of a graphic card and storage) which I don't think is totally outdated but I have 800+ hours on #citiesskylines now, my needs have changed and I really would appreciate more power so I can build bigger cities and still enjoy it.
