So lovely... My contract ends end of this month, I still only have a verbal "it will probably all work out" confirmation from the government agency that funds my projects for the extension. Our secretary (she's awesome) is flipping out a bit because the university wants those things 6 weeks prior and she always has to fight with them... I guess I'll bring her some chocolate tomorrow. Not the first time she had to go through troubles because of slow bureaucracy in my project. gnah.
After some discussion and a lot of hush hush and running from office building to office building to get the necessary signatures last minute, the contract is where it is supposed to be and now we can only wait and hope that I wont have a gap between this contract and the next, but it's out of our hands now
I bought a box of chocolates for the secretary with everyday life hero written on top of it ("Alltagsheldin") and I'm now scared she will somehow dislike this guesture...ahh brain, be quiet now.
By the way, I can update that everything worked out with my contract. They needed my signature before Friday last week however when I was in France so I had to use express mail that was super expensive. Our secretary was happy about the chocolate as well and has been super supportive throughout everything - so yay!
