Back from France/Belgium and back to work. So overall the french thing worked well. I also did the check-in in Brussels in french and luckily understood most of the unexpected 10 minute speech/explanation the receptionist gave me. In Brussels, reverting to english however was no problem at all at any place.
I can proudly announce that I haven't stopped my #200daysoffrench so far!
@Virelai I was sondering the other day how you were going with the language. I'm very happy you keep studying.
😀
@windmills yup, me too! :)) I bought a new book, magazines and a crossword puzzle booklet, so I have new things to do :)
It's a bit funny how the french probably rather assume you are completely stupid rather than realize that french is not your native language and that you are just acting weirdly because you are struggling. Like the lady at the post office I had to ask so many questions because I had to fill out a form and at the end she was still confused that I put a German home address in the box.
