One of my goals on Mastodon is to toot more about art and life, and less about politics than I do on the birdsite. Keep me honest and give me some sideeye if I backslide on that pledge.
#Introduction: I'm a #writer. Most of what I write is #humorous, #pornographic (or #erotic if you prefer) #sciencefiction and #fantasy. My #steampunk book "The Erotofluidic Age" is published by #circletpress. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/25825336-the-erotofluidic-age?
My #cyberpunk #comicbook "The Eidolon Initiative" is just finishing up serialization at http://eroticmadscience.com/ this month; there'll be a book from Circlet sometime next year.
I also like bicycling, rye whiskey, my spouse, and my dog.
So, when I visit the profile of someone on a different instance, and Mastodon won't show me most of the accounts they're following, that's because those accounts aren't federated to my instance?
That seems undesirable. I really like the idea of decentralized social media, but if it isn't easy to reach from one node to another, it will never fill the niche now occupied by the big VC-backed guys.
What up, my pachyderms?
