For the geeks in attendance. The Cross Check got new 36 hole Velocity touring wheels way wider which makes the 38s feel monstrous. But it rides like a dream despite being quite heavy. Considering I broke my old wheel from loading up the bike, weight isn't much of a concern. :D octodon.social/media/-b7SEijmN

Sad few weeks when all three were broken. And just like that, they're all fixed in one swoop this morning as I got all the parts back at once.

One buddy loaned me a carbon road bike (yikes!) That I felt I was going to break with my weight. And then another buddy came through with a free bike! So I could still ride to work.

Now I have 4 bikes. Not complaning. Can turn the freebie into the SS single brake urban assault machine I have been wanting. Hooray!

Saw this in a store and immediately thought about octodon.social/media/dq3JfuaSH

Can we stop painting anal sex as something :

-exclusively homosexual
-a degrading practice for the reciever
-something most of the time not consensual

please?

That'd be great, I'm tired of those lame jokes

Now I need to work on "The N-word". Still not acceptable in the workplace as slang.

Just because I work in auto shop, and bad language is par for the course, doesn't mean I have to stand for clearly offensive words and ideals.

I was driven to the point of getting in the face of a coworker and threatening to have them fired by higher ups as he refused to stop using the word "faggot". Our direct manager is also complacent and I called him out on it. Only when I threatened to quit did he agree he has failed and did anything.

It's 2017, and that shit is unacceptable, anywhere.

Anyone else excited for season? Got a new Baldric and short sword to complete my outfit. Looks pretty great and feel kinda badass. Also got the wife a baldric that can hold a staff on her back to complete her green and purple maiden meets donatello getup. It's kinda difficult to hide the bulge in me pantaloons around that. ๐Ÿ˜

Attempting to relearn Impulse Tracker (really SchismTracker but it's a clone) and I haven't used it in probably 16 years. Amazing some of the keybindings were right under my fingers without thinking. Still slow going as I have to relearn alot of effects commands and moving around on a laptop kb vs. a 101, as it uses the numpad a lot.

An old friend back in town for a months wants to make another demo. He's using the kernal to directly draw realtime video effects with no gpu. Looks pretty interesting. Excited as our last demo together was '99. Might just go back to a tracked module for easier synching depending on modern playback libraries. He showed me some of the effects like realtime anti-aliased raytracing that was pretty but cpu intensive. Even on quad core. Could be fun.

A throwback to when my Wife and I did a mostly improv'd track about our cat, Maddie. Her on vox and me on Bass, Uke, and Guitar.

I don't know how people feel about Fark nowadays, but I certainly spent my fair share of time on it back in early 2ks. Seems kinda shitty to see it possibly going away because of googles tyranny. I may have to get totalfark again. Shrug.

Granted this is months ago and I'm just now hearing about it, that's how I often I visit.

@Troll I like the harmonic experimentation you're doing over the sus4 , which pretty much identifies the tune. I listened a couple of extra times because I didn't trust my first impression, and found I kinda dig it. Nice and chill, and unafraid to go chromatic. Plus I love the old school sound ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Decided to knock this tune out and release it with the colab with my wife, Newt. This is only her second time colabbing with me and it turned out kinda cool. Have a listen and let us know. First time I've used pretty much all VSTs instead of all samples.

So my wife makes me a big fat liar by helping me bang out a tune in like 1.5 hours. Trying to name it so I can release it to see if people hate it. It's kinda mellow synthwave.

I keep coming to the same conclusion. I've always had chops, I've always been able to do the technical parts of making and recording music. But I've always been shite at actually writing any music. Grr...
