I had thoughts about why I like Fire Walk with Me more than the series. I figured it out. The show forced her into role of manic pixie dead girl. The movie forced us to see a human being. I bet that might be why some hated it. The lack of Cooper being the other reason.
@stillinhere For myself, I loved all of it. It all fit in wonderfully, and I love the way Lynch doesn't give you everything in one shot. You have to wait for the next thing to see how it all fits together.
@Tolemac I adore the new season. That was the best experience I've had in a long time. I liked the original for what it was, but the new season is definitely a *me* thing. The movie, however, struck something in me that I didn't expect, especially as hated as it was.
@stillinhere Oh, the new season was so glorious to me! It was Lynch Unleashed. Zero restrictions for him and Frost and they delivered! I think it's wonderful that you recognize the impact the movie had for you and your willingness to explore that.
