The fact that we're all somehow still joylessly slogging through House of Cards and Sense8 is going to make do with an abbreviated run and wrap-up movie is an underrated arbiter for how profoundly dull the mainstream's taste is. I am so sorry for having contributed this travesty.

OK, so the Mozilla Looking Glass extension debacle was a phenomenally misguided choice, and I'll be keeping an eye out to make sure we do indeed see some heads roll (or, more productively, that processes change) as promised here.

But as much as I dislike spectrum arguments, I don't get people blithely returning to Chrome over this. Yes, they're closer than we'd like to think, but can you really call Mozilla and Google the same??

@joshuatj @ablwr ooo yes - I mean it's pretty blatantly inspired by Twitter's terrible ethics, so I think there's something to be said about taking the productive conversations held there and putting it on a platform made by our community, for our community. But who exactly that community is could use some more definition. I forget what I originally wrote for an instance description, but I can take another shot at some language And send it your way!

Does anyone out in the Mastosphere use Blackmagic devices for capturing analog video? Is there a way to pipe analog audio input to the computer's sound card so I can monitor audio live during digitization with desktop speakers?

I know I could route the analog audio outputs on the Blackmagic to speakers- but then that requires two separate audio signal paths for monitoring live audio and QC-ing the captured clip. Seems really inconvenient.

@SuzanEraslan no!! Between him and the giant Eva Green crush that I share with the rest of the Internet, it's a glaring oversight.
