Woke up violently, in a pool of sweat, from one of those nightmares that you wrench yourself out of in the hopeful desperation that it is, in fact, a dream.
Had a little walk around but still not quite ready to close my eyes.
Fortunate I have the choice not to return to that nightmare when so many live involuntarily through far worse.

Of course you're right. Not so easy to do face2face social things though. Particularly on a whim.

I wish I knew more childfree couples. Well, childfree people in general. Particularly women. In real life, not just on the internet.

While many of you were eating tasty chocolate eggs this morning, I went out with a metronome and set my best 5k to date. And turned into a unicorn. (Ok. Not the last bit but one can dream.)
It took me 30 mins, 18 of which were at my 'race pace'. It may not be quick by many people's standards but I'm absolutely delighted! This, for me, is hard and unpleasant. I'm learning a lot about how to move and breathe. I don't think I'll 'enjoy' it but I'll work hard to get good at it.

I really wanna give out about something and I can't.
Lots of things in life would be easier if people just did their jobs/what they promised, and tried to not be assholes.

Impromptu days off are the best. Opting for some 'self care' in preparation for the weeks ahead.

I had one glass of wine tonight which was more than enough. I just came home and grilled some pork belly on my camping stove (flame is better) and stuffed it in a pitta with kimchi...and my life may be complete.

@stephencoyle It'll definitely take some time to get used to but I like it. More emotive, not just the fact! For me anyway! :)
