Please stop spreading the rumor that mastodon admins could be held personally liable for images that get automatically federated. In the US, the CDA specifically prohibits this.
"No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider".
Propagating this misinformation has caused many admins to make hasty decisions, to the detriment of the entire fediverse. Please don't do this
Are there people on here that keep up with all the Shadow Brokers stuff and read the release notes? What did you make of this last one?!
Anybody know if the Windows updates today are in response to the Shadow Brokers' leak?
Remember to meme local this holiday weekend.
If I hadn't learned the lesson of eating a whole pie a week ago, I would have tried today to eat an entire 2.5 lb honey baked turkey breast today. Just goes to show you that sometimes when life closes one door, it closes all the other doors, and you are trapped safely despite yourself.
Following people and following the people those people do people things with and following the glimpse of a person you saw out of the corner of your eye and following the memory of that summer and following that weird feeling on the back of your neck
Last night I dreamed that on the 10 dollar bill, the thermoreactive paper was tuned to just above 98.6 degrees so that in a pinch you could take someone's temperature.
In those first two lines there should be http:// and https:// respectively before the rest. I don't know how to escape links here yet.
Whoever posted the user script that extends Mastodon's columns to full width (https://userstyles.org/styles/userjs/135501/Mastodon%20AutoResize%20Columns.user.js) thank you so much. I refreshed to see it before responding; don't remember whose post.
Octodonians, add these lines to your script if you want it to work here:

Today's entry is short but sweet: Shirime.
I still plan to give the podcast a try for y'all, but it's going to take longer as it is farther out of my experiences.

This is actually the third entry. One substantial one, and two shorter. Subscribe for more. Or let me know what direction you want it to go. I still plan to give the podcast a try for y'all, but it's going to take longer as it is farther out of my experiences.
Unironically thinking dril is America's sweetheart and a national treasure. In 25 years, "another day volunteering at the dril museum..."
At my wedding this is what I walk out to the ring to, in furious intensity:
@Tezcatlipoca Great Vectory... I have been tired working and with support of my several novelities and innovations... https://vimeo.com/148138997 #ykashgari
Is there a subreddit for Mastodon?

Do you think they are saying that regardless of our efforts to prevent it, they plan to use our posts as content on their if-shit-could-shit tier, chain of aunts forwarded, youtube freebooting, swear-to-GOD-if-fucking-dale-tries-to-stop-me-on-the-way-out-to-watch, letterbox emoji covered, make-grumpy-cat-look-like-Infinite-Jest-ass Facebook page? If so donβt know what you can do (either technically or in the rules), but Iβd prefer they didnβt.
What's the deal with the Drupal beef?
