Closing lid didn't put my Thinkpad in suspend mode. Turns out I forgot to connect webcam cable that also transfer sensor data 😁

I cleaned my Thinkpad and reapplied thermal paste. Result: ~10-15 deg C cooler. I had to screw something up last time I did this :O

Sometimes I feel guilty that I don't finish personal projects fast enough. I feel like I get distracted so easily. Today I've been thinking about that and realized that those distractions are often me digging into topics I'm unfamiliar with and need/want to learn more about. I need to see those less as distractions and more of the learning/building process.

Also, Happy New Years!

I have to brush up my English as well. I understand everything but expressing my thoughts and grammar are problems.

Plan for next year:
- find job as programmer or sysadmin
- find some nice place to live with my girlfriend
- write custom Todo/wiki system
- redesign my website
- buy midi controller and learn to play
- finish started projects
- start more projects :D

Doom was released 25 years ago today. It was about 2.39 MB, the size of an average webpage today. News sites average closer to 8 MB.

Please shotgun the javascript demons and make more efficient & accessible websites.

this c64 game that just came out 2 days ago is extremely cool looking:

I decided to redesing part of the GUI to emphasis drag & drop workflow (instead of popups). This takes longer than I planned. Not that I'm in a hurry :)

@TeddyDD @sir rejecting Lua because of 1-based indexing is like rejecting python because of whitespace: it shows you haven't actually tried it because if you had you'd know there are bigger problems to complain about.

Fish 3.0 has been released and it supports && and || syntax. Cool, maybe some die hard bash users will give it a try now :D

yesterday we landed pattern matching for #fennel including unification among pattern variables:

today I've got an idea for how to simplify the macro system and make it a bit more flexible:

hopefully tomorrow we'll land quote/unquote, and then a release will be just around the corner!

Like this stuff has build in rubber duck for debugging, why this is not a standard in other languages, it's almost 2019 ffs

I love to browse Rosetta code and look for nice obscure programming languages.

In theory looks awesome, so why I never heard about it? Where is the catch? Why there is nothing about it on HN? So many cool things to discover :D
