you know how in trials and tribblelations sisko goes up to kirk to get him to sign something and it was just an awesome moment?

seeing archer dressed like this is the opposite of that moment

seeing sisko get to meet kirk made me feel all warm and fuzzy

seeing archer dress like kirk makes me want to throw things at him

according to this ep, prime universe archer went down in history as the greatest explorer of the 22nd century and had two planets named after him?

well gosh, i hope history also recorded the time he and phlox created a baby in the lab so they could raise and murder it and harvest its brain

this ancillary character gets attacked by a monster and we see from the monster's POV which is very classic dr who

i mean i guess they were going for a TOS vibe but it feels more like dr who

the actress playing t'pol seems to hate being in this episode

so it turns out the monster was a gorn because there was a gorn on TOS and this is fanfic as written by a fourteen yr old

also this thing moves like it's make of the cheapest plastic they could find

we normally get decent looking aliens at least. this looks like shit

the screengrab doesn't do it justice either. you need to see the movement to get the full effect of shittiness

they chase the monster around some dark hallways for a while. that goes on for a while

i thought maybe they made it look like shitty plastic because they were doing a TOS throwback thing but it looks nothing like the TOS gorn and also look like shit so

they kill the gorn and blow up some ships and take the prime ship back to the empire

so i was wondering what was gonna happen for the next 18 mins and it turns out not much so far

t'pol wants to the otehr vulcan guy to rebel but he doesn't want to and then archer made out with hoshi and it was really gross

so now t'pol and the other vulcan are trying to recruit phlox to their coup while archer tries to take over the empire

so the whole first two acts of this ep about the gorn had nothing to do with anything and this is completely disconnected from it

this is why you outline stories before you write them. so they have coherent structures and are cohesive

t'pol and hoshi have a very poorly choreographed knife fight

how can an orion woman be part of the crew when we've been saying all non-humans are second class citizens here and YOU JUST ESTABLISHED IN THE PREVIOUS STORY THAT ORION WOMEN HAD ENSLAVEMENT POWERS AND COULD EASILY TAKE OVER A WHOLE SHIP. YOU JUST FUCKING- IT WAS THE VERY LAST STORY YOU DID WHAT THE FUCK
